Youth Opportunity Program Missouri State Tax Credits: Youth Opportunity Program (YOP) Missouri state tax credits are available until December 31st or when our allocation is gone. Charitable Remainder Trust: Do you know someone who has appreciated stock or farmland, or is considering selling a business? A Charitable Remainder Trust may be appropriate for you.
Charitable Lead Trust: Do you have investments that you are not using for income currently and wish to avoid the tax liability of this income? A Charitable Lead Trust may be an option.
IRA Benefits for people over 70 ½: Reminder: Before 31 December 2007, donors who are 70 ½ or older can instruct their IRA trustee to make charitable gifts of $100,000 or less without the undesirable tax effects that have been previously associated with this type of gift. No income tax deductions are available for IRA gifts, but IRA donors can still save significant taxes by removing taxable income from their asset base. In addition, you can get a 50% MO state tax credit though our Youth Opportunities Program (YOP) state tax credits for all donations over $1,000 (as long as we have state tax credits available). Note: The IRA trustee must transfer the gift amount. Donors should not make the withdrawal and then write a check to Sherwood Forest Camp.
Privacy Information: When you make a donation to Sherwood Forest Camp, you are added to our donor database. We record your name, address, amount of your donation and the date that the donation was made. This information is used to contact you about future Sherwood Forest Camp news and information, provide a thank you letter, and a record of your donation for tax purposes. All information is kept private and confidential on an in house, secured server and is not shared outside our agency. WE DO NOT KEEP A RECORD OF YOUR CREDIT CARD NUMBER.
