About Us
Sherwood Forest Camp is nestled in a hollow on 487 acres, just 100 miles south of St.
Louis, in
Lesterville, Missouri. The terrain offers the opportunity to explore forests,
meadows, a spring fed Ozark river, a 15-acre lake, creeks, a mud cave and a 1,000 foot
mountain.

Our camp facilities include cabins, a dining hall, a multi-purpose building, health center,
outdoor chapel, swimming pool, the Tango Tower, teams challenge course, an archery
range, campfire circles, and the program barn which houses crafts, woodworking and
outdoor living skills.

Sherwood Forest Camp is a non-profit,
United Way member agency and is accredited by
the
American Camp Association.

Our Philosophy

At Sherwood Forest campers begin to see themselves as contributing members of a
small community. This occurs as our campers live together and plan activities, individually
and within their cabin groups under the guidance of their group leaders.  Campers learn
that they can contribute and to appreciate the contributions of others.

Sherwood Forest is a non-denominational, multi-racial camp community, which serves
children without regard to socio-economic status. Sherwood Forest is an ideal place for
campers to learn to live with others who are different from themselves. Click here to read
